Too many copepods!

Anyway to cut down on the amount of copepods in a tank? I have never dosed them and they cloud up my tank. There’s literally thousands. The picture is of some on the back glass

Don't even think that's a first world problem, that's the dream right there.
I'd suggest a wrasse, mandarin goby or anthias. If uninterested sell them and keep your hobby sustainable.

I have the same problem. They're all over my zoas and frogspawn making them close up. I have a clown fish and a yellow watchman goby but neither go after them so I may get a mandarin goby. Would I have to get rid of my watchman?

I wish I had that problem. I had an abundance of pods at one point, but they slowly dwindled over time and I eventually had to restock.

Sorry to hear that.
While your tank is empty, the pods will help keep it clean.
If anything, encourage them by adding phytoplankton.

Liquid phytofeast or powdered phytoplan comes to mind.
They'll work on your rock and such to keep algae at bay.

And they'll survive your fallow period so once you add new fish there will be some goodies to pick at

likely why you are now seeing a boom. Pressure from predation has dropped off, allowing their population to increase. Consider it a good thing, sign of a healthy tank, minus the velvet of course. They'll be less noticeable as fish are added again, as they'll be eaten.

My mandarin gets a long with all of my fish. Should be fine with the watchman.

My YWG's nip at my target mandarin when he ventures near their cave, but he barely flinches, it doesnt seem to bother him or hurt him at all.

Personally, I think its a good thing! Once you add fish the population will slowly start to decrease and you’ll be wishing you had more!
