Too much flow for hammers?

I recently raised them becusse I initially had them at 6in above tank water which was way too intense for the corals.. right now they sit about 11-12 in above the water.. I made this change about 3-4 weeks ago

They may not be getting enough light to extend the polyp. moving 2x away gives you 50% of the light

Zero nitrates = mad corals. My hammers do the best in med pulsing flow to where they bounce up and down. One directional flow can cause tissue recession

I’m running 3 hydra 26s at AB spectrum from BRS I feel like it’s plenty of light .. it was too much to begin with that’s why I had them raised a lot higher

I always assumed that.. I have a hard time trying to raise nitrates with the green algae I have. At the moment I’m using the pulse mode on the Tunze 6095 from 70-30%

I can’t seem to get my nitrates above 2 so started dosing Red Sea nutrition A & B. The corals love it they get all fat and fluffy and the color improvement is amazing

I have six small powerheads on a 50 gallon with 20 gallon sump so I can direct the flow how I want instead of a few tossing my corals around. Food. Corals like food. When your lps extends from the base like so you have figured it out
