You modify the lid with a cutout as you would do with a biocube unit and assuming the lid is not being utilized.
IF using the lid, DIY Led would be an option.

Welcome to R2R!!! My first reef tank was a 120 gallon Topfin, sumpless of course, from PetSmart. A lot of people say they’re cheap and won’t last long but mine ran for over 2 years before I had to break it down.

Hello and Welcome to R2R! The lights that came with my 32 biocube are good enough to grow GSP but I haven't had luck with SPS. Mushrooms and the anemone are doing fine!

Welcome to R2R! A hex tank can be a very pleasant sw tank but the light will probably prove to be problematic. It is probably too weak for all but the most forgiving soft corals and probably has a spectrum more suited to algae growth than coral growth. That said you should be able to remove the top and put a puck-style light, like an AI Prime 16HD Reef of a Noopsyche K7 Mini on it. Then just use a piece of non-metallic screen as a jump guard.
