Trash cans are expensive!!

For sirevans reef nice looking setup, unfortunately my setup doesn't allow me to have a permanant place for my water station. So I ended up going with the brute cans on dollies 20 gal brute with lid. Allows me to move the cans into the kitchen where my rodi is and than once they are filled I can move them to the spare room so that they are not sitting out in the open. Makes water changes easier since I can move my container with sw to the tank to fill.

Thanks!! The cool thing about putting them on the pedestals is that now I just run my python siphon hose from the water station to the sump.
I worked for a lfs in Indy for about 3 years in the late 90's and we used brute cans on dollies on some of the bigger accounts and they worked out really well.

So far it is working out really well for me, would have liked to have gone with the next size up container but with having to move the containers across carpeting might have been just a little too heavy when filled. Getting them over the carpet strip from the vinyl to the carpeting is a little tricky. But for living in an apartment it works well.

I think this would be a great question for the "Brute" company. Maybe someone could send an email, it may take some time to get a response but they may respond with useful "scientific" findings. Just my .02

BTW, calm down guys....this is R2R the happiest reef forum on the planet!

You will want to look and see if it has a 2 in a triangle, from what I remember this will tell you if it is food grade safe. If you are able to find out who the manufacturer is you could always try to contact them to inquire if it is made from food grade safe plastic.
