Here is the list of fish we have coming.
QT round 1 will be:
Dusumieri
Achilles
Powder blue
Powder brown
Orange shoulder
And after those we will have these coming next for QT round two:
Regal
Blonde Naso
Purple
Yellow (already have downstairs)
Yellow Eye Kole (already have downstairs)
We are trying to add all of the Acanthurus tangs together on this 1st QT run and then all the rest together after that so hopefully nobody is singled out and picked on.

Jessica was just telling me we were WAY overdue for an update and we better get one posted up :lol: ... Many things have happened with the build. Silicone is fixed, rockwork is in the tank and completed, sand is also in, fish room is almost completely finished too. We also have 2 40g QT's setup. We have an aussie dussumieri, achilles, powder blue, powder brown, blochii (little story with this one), purple tang and an orange shoulder tang in the QT's. All eating and looking great. I will post a more in depth update with plenty of photos soon. Getting very close though!!
Gonna make a few final purchases tonight. We are going with the Regal 250 int skimmer, most likely with the reef octo neck cleaner too.
Next up is powerheads. We were originally going to pick up a gyre or two, but we decided against that for now with the few issues with them. Then it was 4 QD mp40s, but since we have the coast to coast external overflow we would only be able to mount them low on the back glass, so no go on the mp40's. Next we decided to pick up 4 6105 tunze and a controller, but after searching a bit it looks like it would take quite a bit more than 4 6105's to properly move the water in a 400g. That is a little too much $ to spend at the moment because we have a few other projects going on. Now we are thinking about picking up some jebao rw's to get this show on the road. And if we have problems with them we will move them over to the frag tank to replace our aging koralias and pick up a big ole tunze package.
We are planning on 2 rw20's and 2 rw15's. A rw20 on each end and the 2 rw15's on the back glass. We also were contemplating just getting 4 rw15's and putting them all on the back glass to keep all the viewing panes open, sort of a "clean" look.
Any suggestions?

This is an awesome build. my 2 cents. get the 4 6105s, or even the next size up. I have the 5' version of your tank with 2 6105s and Ive got 2 6095s on the way. Depending on your coral, These will move the water pretty well for you. (probably not perfect) and you can add more in the future too.

We are doing sps and lps corals. We do like the tunze pumps, especially from a reliability stand point.

I say go with the Jebaos to get things going. Like you said, you can always use them on the frag tank. It is not like they are going to be wasted.

We should have water in the tank very shortly. Maybe even before the weekend. We want to get the tank cycling asap, our fish will be ready to transfer from the QT's over to the display soon.

Its been awhile so lets go ahead and do some catching up.
Here is a look at the electrical. We have two 20 amp gfi circuits. They are set up with gfi breakers in the box and the first receptacle on each 20 amp circuit is a gfi receptacle. All the receptacles are WR (weather resistant) and have weather resistant covers to protect from any splashing or spraying.
Here is a look at the sump/frag tank and the stand. The sump/frag is 4'x5'x24"(300g), and is made out of 3/4" plywood and epoxy. The epoxy is poured to about 3/8" thick.

Ventilation Setup
This is the vent incoming into the fishroom from the hood of the tank.
This is the vent heading out of the fishroom to the soffit of the garage.
Here is a look at the ventilation fan, hung it from a bungee cord to reduce vibrations on the roof
This is the outdoor vent up in the soffit for all that hot humid air to escape.
