Treat main tank?

I removed my coral beauty and treated him with copper in my qt tank. I was wondering if I should treat my main tank and if so how with my coral being in there? I dont have a lot in there but I do have 5 frags starting out.

What are you treating for?

If it's for ich/ velvet, you can eliminate it from the display tank by leaving the display fishless for 76 days. Inverts can remain.

The best way to "treat" your display tank with copper ... is _not_ to treat your display tank with copper. Ever. Copper will kill those corals.

GoldeneyeRet's got the right of it - with no fish in the tank, ich or velvet will starve to death within a period of 76 days.
