Trident reagents

So it took me over a year to get the Trident......and now the reagents are still unavailable anywhere? Unbelievable................

At least for a while you could get a 2 month supply direct from Neptune.....those are all gone now.

Neptune announced last week that their offices were closed and that product shipments to retailers would stop for a while. They did say a large shipment of reagents had gone out, but I have seen no evidence of that yet at any of the places I have checked.

I watched a video with Terence where he said they shipped out everything that had. But because they would not be able to ship any more for a while they were requiring online retailers to space out selling of them so that people could not panic buy them like they did with toilet paper.

I've a stock alert in a few places for the 2-month supply (I imagine Neptune would have sent all reagent out as 2 month supplies). Presumably places like BRS will limit one per customer. We shall see.

Terence is making them Trickle them on to their site for sale. And i do believe there is a limit per customer. The video is on his youtube channel. It posted last week I believe.

I mean, what do we do now? I have run out of b and c, got plenty of a left but the trident wont do any testing. Just turn it off??

There is a shutdown procedure if it is going to be turned off for over a few days, to prevent liquid from precipitating in the lines. So do that, and then yeah, shut it off.

already gone. I have another trident I was able to get for my new tank but I might have to wait and use the reagents for that one on my existing system. Funny how I didn't have one for like oh, maybe 8 years, and now can't live without it....

My Trident stopped working after 80 days. No issues previously ran flawlessly right out of the box. But then after three days of zero changes in my levels I decided to check the Trident just to make sure everything was ok, it wasn't. The Trident had no power, nothing, know wonder levels didn't move in the slightest...

Neptune thought it might be the 1Link cord so they shipped me a new one. Tried the new cord, nope still broken. In the meantime they had to shutdown operations and now I am without a Trident until they are back up and working. Who knows how long that is going to be. I can't send it back to Marine Depot because I am past the 90 days. Frustrating to say the least.
COVID19 needs to go away!

Man this sucks for those with the Trident. Glad I can make my Alkatronic reagents from locally purchased HCL acid.

There is a DIY reagent formula available here on R2R thread somewhere. I had a Trident and sold it and this was one of the reason doing so. Proprietary formula means only source for it is Neptune Systems. They have issues like now means you have issues too.

This thread is exactly why I’ve been afraid to invest in a $600 ”aquarium ornament”, which is what it is minus those reagents.... I might still pull that string but....
Had Neptune been tasked to make Model-T’s. or T-34’s or Polio vaccines: history would have turned out very different
