Trident reagents

This thread is exactly why I’ve been afraid to invest in a $600 ”aquarium ornament”, which is what it is minus those reagents.... I might still pull that string but....
Had Neptune been tasked to make Model-T’s. or T-34’s or Polio vaccines: history would have turned out very different
I’d be wary at this point also! I have been lucky enough to get a Trident about 8 months ago. I hate testing and so purchased this to avoid daily testing. Love it and seems (at least in my case) to be close to other test kits. Now of course we have a reagent supply issue and have had one for a few months...even before shutdowns. It’s weird as long as Neptune has been in business that they would have this distribution issue. Many would say it was such a wanted item that they sold out quickly and can’t keep up. I hear more people NOT having one than do have one so I find that difficult to believe. It is frustrating to say the least!

I did get lucky enough to score a 2 month box but it wasn’t easy. The online vendor I signed up for an alert never sent it when stock was back on shelves and I just happened to peek and see they were in stock. There must have been a release of product for other vendors are now reporting the reagents are in stock. Not sure for how long because I think there is a good number of reefers looking to replenish their supply. This occasional release of product is just plain weird in my opinion. Did this with the Trident as well. For now I’m satisfied. Good luck to those who are looking!

Sorry just made me laugh about this above. Like it's harder to find the reagent than it was the device :)

Hey, we HAVE to laugh at things!! Times are very strange on ALL a levels right now! I agree on the reagents being like gold. I do like having the Trident...just not the hassle of the reagents.

It would be nice if these testing devices did not tie you in completely into a subscription model for getting supplies, but that is what I think they expect to make the bulk of the cash from.

Saltwateraquarium still have a few reagents in stock as of right now, if anyone's still looking.

Awesome! Just bought 1 from saltwateraquarium, and 2 from BRS. I should be good for a bit now

Funny how back in the day all I worried about was wether my x10 modules were working. Might not click with reefers now a days!

I should have said reefing now a days and not reefers as I'm just as guilty as charged. Amazing how easy something that we took for granted 2 months ago has become an issue for some and rendered or new way of Trident automation useless.

at least you guys have tridents I can't find a trident anywhere. I wish I could.
Here's 1 in stock but its in a bundle with DOS...Still if you want it bad enough HAHAH

The 6-month boxes all have a sell-by date on them so I'm guessing they need to be used in a year.
