As far as different gfo products I buy brs cheapest one. I had phosphates of .23 put new gfo in and the next day undetectable I ised a lot but this goes to show you it works well as the expensive kind. Now I'll see how accurate the hanna is because I sent off a triton the same day it read zero twice

I bought the GFO and a Red Sea test kit yesterday. Tested for PO4 which was between .08 and .16. Started 50 grams and roxx carbon in my media reactor.
Maybe I can save the small section of Red planet that is left and hanging on..

Same as any binder, yes it can be reused if it is not depleted. I'd rinse in RO/DI before storage to get out any organic detritus that has lodged in it.

I need a little help from you guys regarding Triton
My alk keeps dropping and I am struggling to maintain it at 8
I have been increasing the dosage to compensate and to bring it up to the required level but it will not increase
Currently I am dosing 300ml a day ie 100 of each element in my 2000 litre system
My other concern should I be removing 300ml a day of tank water each day and if so how
Should it be done with my sister

You will see salinity slowly rise with a two part, so monitor it and remove some tank water and replace with fresh when the salinity gets higher than you prefer.
If you cannot keep alk where you want it, I'd try adding a bit more each day. I'm not sure exactly how concentrated their two part is.
What sorts of corals are in the tank? 300 mL of most two parts is not excessive for a 2000 L system if you have hard corals or good coralline algae.

My salinity has remained at 1026 throughout since starting Triton and has not deviated
Should I raise the 100ml to say 120 a day
Previously in month 4 my alk was at 8 and temained there until recently. At that stage I was dosing 80ml a day of each element
Ive increased it gradually but cant get it back to 8
Would appreciate your advice

I presume you are adding Triton Base Elementz 4 part? That's pretty much the same as a two part system, which is all I meant. I'm not sure why they have split it into 4 instead of 2 or three as most do.
Yes going from 100 to 120 sounds like a good step to try. Watch it for several days at that dose.

Right. Just add more if you want alkalinity higher.
These are their directions:
"Continue testing for carbonate hardness on a daily basis. If it increases, reduce the quantity of each Elementz solution. If the hardness decreases, slowly increase the quantity added. Measure carbonate hardness every day until it remains constant; once this has occurred, you have arrived at your individual dosage of Elementz."
