Maybe the bucket plastic too not just the salt inside

Importantly, we have no evidence that these insoluble clay minerals, causing the cloudiness, are harmful to the animals.

So how do you know if your bucket came from Turkey or Germany. I'm a bit suspicious on what I have. My first tank and got a bucket of TM Pro for a great deal in November. My tank has been running for a month. Everything started great. Just today I noticed the corals are taking a turn for the worse after thriving for the first 2 weeks in the tank.

Do I have a bad batch or does Made in Germany mean Made in Germany?? How can I confirm, I see nothing on the bucket but this. No batch or dates.

Thanks in advance.

… your bucket literally says “made in germany”

See below, seems to be a popular salt here. Not sure how many of you use “Turkish blend”.

So, they say its just the Turkish salt that has issues? I have the German Salt and also use the All for Reef additive - They both have brown crap floating in my Salt bin and Dose container! what do you make of this? I just cleaned the salt bin and this is a fresh batch. The BRS guys say this stuff was crystal - Not what I see.

Mine was never crystal clean in my mixing barrel, I always cleaned it once a year. The Turkish stuff seemed dirtier than usual, I have an opaque mixing barrel and I could just tell by looking at it.

I switched to TMP in June 30th, My reef journal states that signs of LPS tissue recession began July 27th. Things started to turn around after I switched salts a couple of months ago. Could be unrelated. Hopefully this will lead to better manufacturing oversight from all our suppliers. One can wish

Pharmaceutical grade? . They should be ashamed of them selves for not removing that in the description!! Seems like false advertising.

They're calling this "Turkeygate". Seems fitting. I have two pails: one from Germany and the other from Turkey which is going back on Tuesday.

Tropic Marin should've issued a full recall no questions asked. Didn't they learn anything from Dieselgate?

Admins: How do we get this stickied to make Tropic Marin users aware of this?

Interesting that I also noticed problems in lps and nps tissue recession and death in larger colonies. Sps continued to thrive tho.
