Thank you, yes the 3/4" acrylic is pretty thick. However, since it was rimless and had no top support it is the minimum necessary IMO so you don't have any bowing. 1" would be even better.

Thank you, the plumbing is the only thing I am not happy about. I changed my initial plumbing design last minute, and have regretted it ever since. I was planning on using "BeanAnimal's Silent and Failsafe Overflow System" which is why there were 3 holes in the overflow box. This system operates the under a siphon which meanse there is literally NO water turbulence or noise. I ran the system on my 90g tank, and people literally would put their ear to the glass to try and hear water running. The most common response I would get was... "Is this thing on?" LOL
Anyway, the gurgle buster's are nice, and do cut down the noise considerably when installed properly, but IMO there are much better noise reduction systems out there.
When I move the tank again, I will be redoing the plumbing and going with my initial plumbing design.

Can you share you thoughts on the other noise reduction systems? I'm replacing my 92G corner tank with a shallow rimless look-down tank and I need to cut down on the noise as it's next to the TV in our family room. It flows down to my basement fishroom underneath the tank. Thanks!
BeanAnimal's Silent & Failsafe Overflow System is hands down the best. Although I think it is somewhat similar to the "Herbie Method" although I've never read up on the Herbie method.
By using a siphon the pipe is full of water, thus no air or turbulence to create noise as water moves through the pipes, or as it empties into the sump... because the inlet (in the overflow box) and outlet (in the sump) are submerged.

Thank You. The skimmer was elevated to keep it within the manufacturer's recommended water depth of 6"-10"

The deeper the water the skimmer sits in, the harder it becomes to adjust. As you are unable to lower water level enough inside the skimmer's body for the skimmer to skim effectively.

Thanks. I have a real hard time getting shots of the Picasso Clownfish together. They seem to go into evasive maneuvers anytime I approach the tank with the camera. LOLyes very nice ! great shots of your fish too! i love the midas blenny, i used to have one but lost him when we upgraded. they have a great personality.
Yeah the Midas Blenny is great. Tries to bite me all the time though, and the sucker has sharp teeth... the little SOB.
Thank you. I knew I was going to be cramped in the new living arrangement, so I needed to try and house everything under the stand. As well as have a minimal footprint in the room. A fair amount of planning went into it, and I am very happy with how the system turned out (minus the plumbing... but that was my own mistake).

not yet... I've been a little lazy as of late. The canopy still needs a brief finish sanding, and the final coat of paint before it's ready. I have all the bulbs and new lighting sitting in the basement though. I'm hoping to get to it soon.
