This is my tank(50 breeder). I am at work and do not have enough pictures in my phone. But what do you think about drilling a small hole into the center brace to hold the eye sensor. Or I have acrylic I can cut to fit the top of the tank and drill and mount the eye there. Any opinions?
I do not want clutter my tank with more equipment. So far I have one pump to the hob refugium, a hob skimmer, 2 koralias.

I would definitely NOT touch the center brace as if you mess up, you may have a lot of water on your floor to clean up. Bending some acrylic would work great. Something like in this link AutoTopoff.com. Here is the link where you could buy just the plastic mounts AutoTopoff.com
I was thinking of cutting a piece of acrylic and silicon it to the edge of the trim so that about an inch hangs over the water. And I would drill that so the sensor slides into that the way it does on the magnetic holder. I want to try and keep as much obstruction out of the tank as possible.

Here is what I was talking about. Cut a piece of acrylic to fit the top and drill a hole for the sensor. I added a picture of the fuge, where I wanted it to go. Only problem now will be mounting the safety switch. Any ideas
