TUNZE Safety Connector

I just figured something out on my Ecotech Battery backups that means I wont need the tunze safety connector now.
Unreal! I almost just spent a ton of money for no reason!
Sharing is caring. Lol

Don't need the safety connector (cheap), or don't need the battery(expensive)? Or both? :) The safety connector is not just a switch, but also the (fused) breakout box – so how do you hook up to a backup system without it?

Short extra question to this topic:
Can the battery stay connected over a charger/conditioner to prevent running low on power?

Just to make sure it is always fully loaded when a power outbreak occurs.
Or do I make a mistake in my thinking.

Hey, I am looking for a battery backup for tunze pumps but I'm really curious what you found. Could you pm me this?

We use the smaller battery, you could use a car battery if you want, but I would get a solar battery, they are smaller, sealed units that do not vent. I did a test on mine and it ran for 5 days I believe.
They are deep cycle batteries, trolling motors batteries, I am sorry but I cannot post a link.
Thread #5 shows some pictures of batteries that I am speaking about.

I just opened the box on my Eco Tech batteries and replaced those for like $20 each, lol!
Eco Tech is charging $160 for a new battery. I watched a you tube video and replaced all 3 back ups for $60. Yahoooo!

Reviving and old thread. Sorry to bother @Brew12 but I’ve no knowledge myself so can’t judge what is good and what isn’t.

How do these look?

Or would something else on there be better?

seems like things are advancing in terms of solar batteries and the like so anything new there?

cheers,
Tony
I think those would be fine. I haven't looked into it much, but I think solar batteries are just a deep cycle battery that is charged by solar panels. I don't believe they are anything all that special.

Those are nice batteries, but real expensive, I would try to stay sub 100 dollars, buy yeas those type batteries.
