Turtle's Deep Blue Sea

Hmm that was a long time ago!

Before the Deep Blue.... that rules out the RS 650, the custom tank conversation, along with the Anemone cube. Was it another 75 maybe?

Pm me your address. I'll send you a senior care package :)
When I turned 40, my older brother gave me a daily pill case, reading glasses, and a nose hair trimmer. I couldn't help but laugh.

Ok... last hint. The stand will be a bit different. Ok, completely different.

Don't need the pill case. I've worn glasses since I was 7. Rx is -7.25 in each eye, with astigmatisms in both eyes. Yea... I'm almost blind without glasses or contacts. Nose hair trimmer, yea got one of those already.

Is that the 90 cube??
Ding ding ding we have a winner! Turtle, tell him what he's won.

Well, Robin, what we have here is a beautiful SCA 90 gallon "cube" aquarium. Its 36" wide by 24" deep and 24" tall and made from 1/2" Starfire glass. It has a center overflow with 3 holes drilled in the bottom pane for overflow and return. It will rest on a 36" tall hand crafted pine cabinet stained in the "American gray" color.

It was a spur of the moment decision... yea, I had thought about several different tanks but I kept coming back to the SCA 90. Plans are as follows...
  • 36" Aquatic life T5 hybrid with 3x Kessil A160WE, one per foot.
  • Trigger Systems Sapphire Cube 20 sump, ATO and dosing containers
  • Tunze osmolator ATO
  • 2x Icecap 1K gyre
  • Refugium with chaeto and Eshopps Curve LED
  • DC return pump...?
  • DC skimmer...?
  • Coralbox dosing pump
I'm going to go with all new equipment., except the following; Kessil lights, Tunze ATO, one of the gyres, Eshopps fuge light.

congrats on that beauty. Just curious if your going to do a Bare bottom or another BEAR bottom.

Too soon for that? sorry.....EQUIPMENT LIST!!!

Most likely, CaribSea Fiji pink... yea I know its not black. Its not metal either. Lol. It works, tons of people use it, and Maui likes having sand to burrow in under the rocks. Also, we may end up with a sand sleeping wrasse or two... live stock list will be heavy with fairy wrasse.

Very nice!

I keep trying to justify getting another aquarium as a mainly wrasse tank. Maybe next year. The SCA 90 long or the 120g would fit well where I would want it.
