We got new corals in today!!!
But first, old corals...
Trachy, doing wonderful. It seems really happy where it is, so it stays right there.
Acans, were squishy but not so much now. May need to be moved into more flow. Theres a rock to the right blocking the gyre flow across the bottom. The orange one lost the big main polyp on top in the holding tank.
Monti caps. The one small one that was browned out, but should be pink, when we got it is still browned out. Theres a few bare spots, but nothing serious. It should recover. The big purple and green cap, had to be fragged. It turned almost completely brown and started to die off. Most of the center was dead. We got 5 nice sized frags that will hopefully recover and start growing. I'll pick the best out of the survivors and keep it, and trade/sell off the rest.
Frogspawn, is perfectly healthy. This will be traded/sold. One small bi-color frag, and one large 5 polyp frag of green w/ purple tips.
Zoas, one is whammin watermelon the other is... carp, I'll have to ask again. They have been closed for 5 weeks and the color is off... but they are alive. Hard to get good zoa pics when they point straight up.
Trumpets... not happy with me about the whole holding tank situation. They are starting to come back. Hopefully there's not too much damage.
And the toughest coral I have. Blue sympodium, you cant kill the stuff short of letting it dry out. Even then I think it would take a day or two to fully kill it. This frag sat in the bottom of a rubber made tote with my branch rocks, a heater and power head. No light at all and its about the same size as it was. Hasn't opened all the way, but stick me in the bottom of a box and cover me with rocks for five weeks and I'd take forever to stand up too.
