Hey guys look at the frag in the middle and please tell me if it is real Miami Hurricane or not?

new-1.jpg

how about a pic w/o the feeders out...
It is hard to get all way in the 24" deep tank, it doesnt change the color though...but all of you guys confirming the same thing i suspected for a long time...Oh well i hate when the blah-blah starting with the seller but i believe it is just a packing mistake and seller will be cool about it...

dosn't like a miami hurricane. looks like the raspberry monster. imo. are the feeders red too?

what ever it is its cool looking and if you like it that is all that matters.....the name game sucks, and people getting ripped off sucks because of it!!!

This is a prime example for the people that do not believe that LE or Tyree coral do not morph and always hold stable to there color....
This coral came fram me and the original poster purchased it on January 14th. As you can see, its the real Tyree Miami Hurricane but has morphed to the point that it no longer looks like it.
This is how so many people feel that they have been ripped off, people say no but in reality it just morphed over a short period of time due to lighting and water perameters.

The question still remains..... Since it morphed so drasticly should is still be called a Tyree Miami Hurricane or should the buyer have the fair right to change the name??

I think if the OP would of posted a pic of it without the feeders out would of helped. Mine has the grayish color body as well not the green its suppose to have. So yes they do and change color in different conditions

Greg the one on the left came from UC/MA?.. off topic sorry but since the Seller posted a pic of the colony it came from then just give it some time

You got screwed for sure! That thing is so ugly you should throw it away. Or at me. I need to start a chalice collection.

J/King I still think it looks sweet.

Most chalice can morph in different lighting conditions. Plus, alot of chalice look completely different when the feeders are out. Try to place the chalice in mid/ high light and leave the lights on for 30 minutes or so and take the picture. It would be clearer for us to help you.

Gary, thank you so much taking time helping us here. I will definitely post pics requested once i get home.

nope ...
came from Jf
