Understanding this XL Emperor

Thanks!
Yep, I'm gonna do it and I'll update. I'm actually using Cuprion, I've this available so yeah.

Oh - don't use Cuprion! In that tank, Cuprion is going to be adsorbed by all that calcareous material, you won't be able to maintain a proper 0.20 ppm dose. Also, ionic copper is pretty toxic and not well tolerated by some angelfish. I've used it on emperors (decades ago) and they did "o.k.", but for sure don't use it on pygmy angels.

Hi
Thanks for the advice, I'll keep in mind. Unlucky, the fish die. It looked better in the past three days btw as a behavior, but I found him dead this morning

Read up on ionic copper treatments, as they are different then chelated copper like Copper Power or Coppersafe. According to Jay's book, 0.2 ppm is the standard concentration.
Yep I use it usually, i know hot to use it but I would try others in the future

Thanks guys for the feedbacks! I'm gonna add the copper directly on the tank, I've only fish inside btw so I'm pretty sure it will be fine

Should I do a bath to him? Just freshwater
FW bath not needed as it offers temporary relief from flukes and velvet. I recommend Chelated form of copper opposed to ionic which is cupramine. If Ionic, therapuetic level is 0.5 not to be exceeded. If chelated (recommended), treat with Coppersafe or Copper Power at therapeutic level 2.25-2.5 For a FULL 30 days (do not interrupt this 30 day period) monitored by a reliable Copper Test kit such as Hanna Brand- No API brand. Also monitor Ammonia levels while in quarantine with a reliable test kit and add aeration during treatment using an air stone.
The display tank will have to be kept fishless (FALLOW) for 6-8 weeks if confirmed ich to assure the existing parasites go through their life cycle without a host fish and die off

Hi thanks for the advice. As I said, the fish is dead but I'll go forward. I started with Cuprion, I couldn't change so I'll go forward with that for the others fish inside (tangs, cleaner wrasse and clownfish). I use Hanna to test the Copper
