Unidentified Creature in my live rock

If I was trying to dream up creatures from a distant planet, I don't think I could come up with a worm as weird as that!

The shell almost-kinda reminds me a bit of a brachiopod ... but I wouldn't expect to find a lot of those in our tanks, either.

I should add the last person dug it up, that's how we came to find out what was under there. I haven't seen it myself, but that's what they said it was. Now I'm doubting.

Yours flipped around. Mind you, they are from different angles, but you can see the similarities of the structures. If it was a Carculum cardissa, that could account for the flattened shape.

it is definitely a type of cockle. It opens like a heart cockle except it has those curled ends to it which are not seen very often. That could be a trait of the species or just caused by sickness.

What if this is how they invade...think about it what other hobby has hitchhikers ...but lets be scientifical ...it needs to eat, its in a dark place so its not photosynthetic it problably filter feeds because it seems to small to eat things so my question to you is do you dose phytoplankton into your system, it is problably something like a scallop or muscle
Edit: a cockle sideways kind of resembles this fool ....maybe it came in tiny and grew in a tight spot so it became a bit disfigured
