Union thread to bulk head thread??

There is some debate about primer, but I used it for my tank, and have used it in DIY home plumbing projects for the past 20 years. Note that we can use clear for this, but if you're doing something with a permit required the inspector almost always wants purple primer and other colour cements used to make visual confirmation easier.

So far I've only ever bought Weld-On cements, but the other brands should have equivalents.

Primer: P70 Clear
PVC: 705 Clear
Flex: 795 Clear

There was also an ABS <> PVC cement that I had used to glue into my bulkheads with, but I can't find the can. For threaded fittings I use Oatey Great white pipe joint compound #31229. Most importantly though, bevel all pipe ends before you glue them. They even make a hand de-beveler / de-burrer (Reed DEB2) that takes a few seconds to use, so there's no excuse not to do it properly.
