Also, I think I may have got a rather nasty invasive pest anemone..?

(It’s near the bottom of the rock)

By the size of polyp... I think Grandis paly.. post once open!
It looks very similar to that! Guess we won’t know for sure until it opens up eh? ;) :p

I’m cautious about adding it to my tank, because of the suspected pest anemone. What are your thoughts on this?

Sorry for the bad pictures, the frag is still in the bag:

Should I try to remove it/kill it? Is it dangerous? It’s kind of pretty...
Well aptaisia are considered a pest and they will take over the tank. It's up to you if you want to deal with it all the time. I don't have any in my tank for the simple reason I don't want to have a invasive nem.

That's a paly of some sort I can tell ya that much , grow it out some where you might have bagged something interesting.

But it’s not necessarily dangerous for my fish/other corals is it?

I might leave it... I don’t know yet.

From the looks of what I could see you might have gotten a palythoa grandma judging by shape and color

I do see to the right of the coral though looks like an aptasia is there is take care of that by getting a red hot nail and jamming it down it's hole.

Kill that pest anemone. It will spread and spread and sting anything it touches
So it is dangerous!?

Is there any less... hot way I could get rid of it? ;Cold

Haven’t added it in the tank yet, because of the aptasia. I will keep it in the bag until I figure out if I should kill it or not.
