*Unofficial* Mini Complete Tank Contest

I was thinking of setting up a gravity fed topoff with a 20oz water bottle. Can someone that already has a MCT post up some pics of inside the sump area showing how much room is in there?

Same. But it's gonna be tricky to run the lines. I'm stumped on that.

Got 2 possible rock 'formations' putty drying/curing right now. Once I feel they are secure I'll drop them into my tank today to start aging. :) no pics because... surprise!! I did two incase I decide less is more. Either peice will look great in my main tank once I decide on the final one for the mini.

Done. Im in.

Got it on Ebay :) says delivery Sept 1st?

So what can we start now? Scaping :D? Start Dates Oct 1 yeah?

reeftide is a coral vendor (I got some great pieces from them) and a R2R sponsor. I think they were potentially hinting at sponsoring this little contest you started :). At least I hope that's what they were saying :D.
I'll have to check them out on Ebay.
Completely down to sponsor this lol

Please do grab one! It's going to be a lot of fun!!
Wow! That would be incredibly amazing! Please send me a PM and we can discuss it (or if you'd prefer I can message as well). :D

Ahhh, I want one but for the price I can set up another complete nano tank with a wider variety of stocking options. If anyone changes their mind I'd definitely take a used one I can't wait to see your tanks come to life!

Checkout Aliexpress and Ebay options if you haven't already!(:

The original website has them on sale for ~$68 and Ali/Ebay are around ~$55 or so. I think I've been spoiled by local Craigslist reefing and that's about what I paid for my full 20 gallon. If they were like $25-30 I'd grab one in a heartbeat.

The original site ends up being close to $100 after all add-ons I think; I totally get it though, finding deals can make it hard buying new equipment haha
It's worth it for the novelty of the enclosed system in such a small package and trying to create replicas of larger equipment, and keep a thriving reef, on such a miniaturized scale.

I wanna participate but I'm moving and don't even have my main tank set up I won't be settled till November
Final start day is Oct. 31st if you decide you can swing it! I hope the move goes well, and would love to have you join if it works out for you!

That was the exact seller I got mine from, maybe try aliexpress?

Been searching for a bit. Looks like this place is legit and it has the best pricing for a complete setup.
Just tried out that website.... lets see.... :O
