If you don’t mind a little cloudy water for a few days I really like Garf Grunge.

Should I rinse it a few times in saltwater to get cloud out?If you don’t mind a little cloudy water for a few days I really like Garf Grunge.
I didn’t because it is full of life and I wanted as much diversity as possible. I haven’t touched the sand since I put it in.Should I rinse it a few times in saltwater to get cloud out?
Do you think I could add the dry crushed coral and be fine?I didn’t because it is full of life and I wanted as much diversity as possible. I haven’t touched the sand since I put it in.
Most likely yes. The live rock will gift life to the new sand but will take longer.Do you think I could add the dry crushed coral and be fine?
Oh ok perfect thank you! I will try and find live crushed sand but if I cant then i will have to go with dry. I am not planning on doing a deep bed just enough to hide the bottum and give a little room for inverts. I have over 40+ pounds of live rock in the 29g right now so It shouldn't be too much of a problem on that end then haha. I'm just worried about the corals. I have nothing that is crazy sensitive. Mainly ricadea, 15 different zoas, a bunch of montis, frogspawn, hammer, acans, 1 acro, xenia, gsp, and a birdnest. Alot of money spent hahaMost likely yes. The live rock will gift life to the new sand but will take longer.
Back to the bacteria and recycle. The beneficial bacteria is very hardy and will not be harmed by rinse in cool tap water. The good bacteria can get covered up by organic material and removing the organic material makes the good bacteria work better.
Yep final rinse in RODI is good idea.Would it be suggested to rinse with RODI or saltwater after the tap water rinse? I am concerned about chlorine or other chems attaching to the sand and released into the tank.
You are probably close the max. Give it a few weeks and see if you can keep up with the algae. I like thread fin cardinals for small fish.Anyone know what more fish I could add? I have 5 total 2 clowns, six line wrasse, royal gramma, and a lawnmower blenny. Would It be too much bioload to add maybe 3 chromis? Or maybe some other ideas? It is a mixed reef
