UPS Dropped the Ball

Ups isn’t all that reliable when it comes to shipping live aquaria stuff.
Fed Ex is always on point unless there is severe weather or high volume during the holidays in witch any delivery company is overwhelmed with the volume of deliveries

Yep, and I'm not sure I'd blame UPS, seems foolish to try to ship during last week's issues.

I just got the poor little guy. Water was freezing cold and the Urchin was frozen. Hard as a rock.

This is a hard time of year to ship livestock, especially w/ what's going on right now.

I’m bummed. Liveaquaria only issues refunds, no replacements.

At least you recover from loss money wise.

I would not even think to order any livestock that has to ship through severe weather like many places are experiencing right now.

It would have been fine, if it made it Thursday or they should have shipped it Thursday to arrive Friday.
Regardless , UPS dropped the ball. They were paid to deliver it next day air. Excuses or not, it would have been alive and well if it was in my possession Thursday.

UPS said it was on their truck Thursday and it wasn’t. Then it was on their truck Friday and it wasn’t. Then I got an email saying it would be delivered next Monday and it ended up being delivered today Saturday. It was a Livestock package, not a regular package that could be delayed.

Don't be so sure of that. Wednesday and overnight was the worst day of this cold spell. Then for it to be still in the truck out in the cold Thursday morning......not very smart on the shippers part.
Yes the delivery companies make their share of mistakes, but what kind of idiot to begin with ships live fish/animals out on a near record setting cold day?

Not gonna do you much good to keep crying about the shipping, I'd pick up the phone and get in the ear of someone at Live Aquaria and voice your concern over the lack of their concern, in regards to shipping critters and torturing them in beyond freezing temps. The trucks are extremely hot in the summer and ridiculously cold in the winter due to the floor and shelving being ALL METAL!!
A heat pack or two isn't gonna help anything in those conditions for that duration of time......
