Urgent advice please

It is concerning tho that the vendor still sent out this fish when its lymph is as bad as it is, and I highly doubt that this just happened during shipping. I personally want to know which vendor this is from so I don't make the same mistake.

I feel like lympho is the kind of thing that can pop up fast particularly when stressed though. Not sure about such an extensive case, though.

It looks like a type of fungus you could try a freshwater dip.

It's not a fungus since that's not something that occurs in saltwater (that's mainly a freshwater issue). I agree with Lympho... it's a pretty advanced case, but shouldn't be fatal unless it hampers breathing, eating or starts growing on an internal organ.

And? I could probably find a blog post about how feeding your fish garlic every day will keep them disease free forever. That doesn't mean it's true. Fungus issues are not something we typically have to deal with in saltwater... it really is mainly a freshwater problem. It's true that fungus or other types of infection can be a problem with fish eggs, but rarely is it involved with the actual fish's body. What most people think are "fungal infections" on fish are bacterial infections or brook.... which are different things all together.

And I find it strange what you say there are many articles on the fungus in a marine tank I even have witnessed it myself over the years.
