Urgent! Fish in need of help?!?

I have a small clownfish that was in a “asleep state” but he was just drifting around the tank so I thought i’d catch him in a net to check if he was okay, at which point I realised he was bleeding whether I had done this or if someone in the tank had. Basically i’m really worried so i’ve moved him into my sump where there is hardly any flow and he’s just lay on the bottom breathing heavily. Is he on his way out?

Could be do you have a Foxface lionfish or any other venomous type fish with needles in your tank otherwise he could have got caught by a power head what types of power heads do you have

Another clownfish, a rusty angel, cleaner shrimp and a maiden watchman goby? I have just watched him get stuck against my powerhead for about 5 minutes, they’re maxspect gyre’s I have two of them either end but this clownfish normally sleeps with the other clown against the backwall, he’s now lay on the floor of my sump breathing really heavily

Yeah I have the max spec Gyros 2 I've never seen any of my fish ever get caught in those other than my big puffer fish that it tends to sit right up against them otherwise I wouldn't think that you trying to get it out with A net would cause it to bleed without having any other aggressive fish or poisonous fish in your tank it's hard to say from the info that I know at the moment I would have to guess a powerhead

If he's just sitting in the bottom of the tank on his side though I don't think that's a good sign my clown fish was doing the same thing two days ago he was laying on his side on the bottom would flip-up right lay on his side flip up right I gave him methylene blue bath put him in a little tiny holding container with an air bubbler and an hour later he was perfectly fine

If it was stuck to the powerhead long enough or hard enough it could have caused the damage

He’s always seemed to be a weak swimmer ever since I brought him he’s struggled to swim for food etc. When I feed in the mornings he almost swims upside down to try and get food, he’s very young though he’s about 2 cm in length my other clown was about 5cm when I got him. I can see a cut on his stomach. I’ve put a little more prime in the tank as it’s supposed to help with injuries but i’m sure he’ll die soon. It’s kinda sad especially if it was my fault

I would try something other than prime helps with detoxifying ammonia heavy metals and different things in our top Waters never used it to help with an injured fish though.

His right hand fin is moving perfectly fine, I can not see his left hand fin, but I have known my clownfish to sleep on the bottom. So whether he just hasn’t “woken up” and i’m just panicking

I truly hope that's the case for you so that way everything is kosher I know that there is a certain clown fish that sleeps on the bottom and one on top the differences between male and female can't remember which one it is but I think it is that the male sleep on the sand bed and female sleep up towards the top of the tank otherwise it's the other way around

I’ve had this little one about a month, he just popped up and swam around a little but then came to a crashing holt on the bottom again, he’s lost a lot of colour on his left hand side, you don’t think this is some sort of toxic shock? Maybe something from the air has gotten into the water like glass cleaner or disinfectant with the current circumstances?

how many clownfish you have? you can put him in a StressGuard that should take care of wound.

its hard to say sorry to say i would leave him be in a holding container with air stone or in the sump and hope he pulls threw never know he might be a fighter.... good luck

am I missing something here people keep saying prime will take care of him but as far as I know prime does this if some one has definitive proof other wise if love to know about it as ive never herd of prime helping a sick or injured fish recover.
