Can I connect an Apex to public Wifi? It keeps asking for a password and there isn't one. If I can't I'm screwed.

No. I have to contact IT tomorrow. They have to add it to the network or I have to get the password to the private network.Sorry just saw this. Can you connect with data, I’m assuming you’re on your phone.

No worries. No one answered me lol.Sorry
I’ve been dealing with tanks all day. Made 120g water for three changes and tested Alk below 7. Just found my baking soda so waiting for tomorrow now. Seems everything seems to be swirling the drain. Had a period of time during a surgery recovery that I didn’t do much maintenance, and everything was really stable. Then one tank ran out of 2 part, one tank quit dosing the Ca part of the two part so everything really shifted. Been hard at them to get balance now for two weeks. Have a whole bunch of frags ready to try to sell but having trouble getting good pics.No worries. No one answered me lol.
No I’m not even sure where that is in the building/campus. I assume there’s a central hub in the main building and then a bunch of receivers throughout the campus. I need to talk to IT.Have you tried connecting the Apex to the wired ethernet connection and then configuring the network settings for wifi, and then disconnecting ethernet to test?
Yes correct but under my account. Are you actually setting up an Apex, not trying to connect with yours?
I thought you were trying to do something on your tank and you were away from home, this all my questions about the app etc. I am guessing that IT can figure it out. Probably some kind of security protocol to keep unknown hardware from connecting.Yes correct but under my account.
Yes it asked me to and there’s no password so that’s the issue. I guess I can’t add it to a public network and I have to have IT either add another network or manually add the Apex to the network. When you connected your phone to the public wifi, did you have to enter a password?
YesI take it you left the password field blank and it didn't work?
Does that work? I haven’t thought too much about that because I feel like it wouldn’t work as my phone hotspot wouldn’t be on the same network.Do you have a hotspot on your phone you could set up ? And then a laptop you could connect to the hotspot along with the Apex so they are on the same network?
