Nope..@Erica-Renee lol took me a minute to see your post. You actually drive one of those trucks? They look so scary and slow lol.

.the word mixed makes it hard to say for sure. To control algae keeping the system nutrient lean is dependent on your System. I have seen tanks with levels above 50 and seem to be doing ok (Prob not good in long term)Hello,
So not much of an update on my 400, just been crazy busy with work. However was curious as to what level of nitrates is good for a mixed reef. I have been told 10-15ppm but others have said not more than 2. From as much research as I have done, there is so much controversy about it, who knows what to believe. If I do water changes every two weeks I average about 2ppm and if I go 6 weeks then I average between 5-15ppm. What’s the thought process on this, and as terrible as this sounds I have a very long awaited date with my pillow and blanket. We are gonna see the whole movie series sleep.
Totally true.. Each tank has its own unique ecosystem There is not a one number fits all situationSome food for though...
I think nutrient levels are only part of the question. For example, if your Nitrates and PO4 are high, it is different if you run Alkalinity at 7 dKH and have low PAR, as compared to 11 dKH and high PAR. I know you have experience in this, but often feel newer reefers look for a magic number that works for every unique system.
I saw you use orbit marine pro lighting on your tank. I do also but I'm looking to upgrade to a larger tank and I'm curious how many fixtures do you have on your tank and what are your tank dimensions? Thanks

Hello,
Sorry it’s been a few days, been just swamped with work and it seems like I forget which day or month I’m in. But was given not so great news from work. They want to transfer me to a different hospital this fall. Which makes it hard since I just bought my home and my tank etc. I’m light of this I have definitely said I don’t want to go. Guess we will see what happens. Worse case their are other hospitals, I just don’t wanna uproot everything so far.
But still working on my tank and critters and will update hopefully later today.

Moving might stink, but it might mean she gets to put her new tank next to a bathroom. That may reduce "unpleasant odors" when the nephews visit in the future!I guess they figure most 25 year olds don't already own a home with a three car garage right out of school. Maybe they thought it was no big deal to shuffle you around. I hope they do decide to keep you there. You still haven't completely gotten over the pee in the sump fiasco.![]()
