Urgh seriously.

Does it seem odd that I don’t receive notifications on my own thread any more lol. I use to all the time and now not so much.

A few things I find cause this to happen including
  • Leaving a thread open in a browser window for a while while multitasking
  • People posting while I am posting
  • Being in a spot where connectivity goes in and out (happens in the workplace for me and perhaps for you too)
You can always find it in your “Watched Threads” list, but of course you have to know to look there. I find for active threads, like yours, these problems occur regularly.

So you use the orbit yah?

Hello,

Yes, and I use two of the current orbit marine pros 60 degree lens version. They came out before the ic loop version. They have shown to be amazing lights and extremely powerful. Using a my-cor 1500 light meter, they average pretty close to 200 par on the sand bed and my tank is 34 inches tall.

Another great feature is that unlike hydra or Ecotech you don’t need internet or the extra service to run your lights. If for example Ecotech hub crashes, then your lights crash also. Plus I don’t need a smart phone or pc to run them or set them up.

So far having equipment from current has proven to be very positive. Their customer service is beyond fabulous lol they are truly amazing. I can’t wait for the new marine pro that comes out this year (well that’s the rumor).

@Erica-Renee lol yes I agree but having an official cracked sternum and three cracked ribs really truly does hurt. Lifting a glass of milk is rough not alone 40 pounds of water lol.

As a former member of the cracked sternum/rib club, I can relate to how painful that really is. Breathing is hard. So, @Sarah24! you are not taking any pain meds so you can work? Unfortunately, being as small as you are, air bags are not your friend. You have to sit closer to the steering wheel than most people and you really get hit hard - as you are well aware of at this point. But, it still beats hitting the steering column/wheel and windshield, as I found out.

May be because I am always logged in on my phone. I do have the thread bookmarked just in case. It isn't a difficult thread to find. Just type Urgh in search with Sarah's useraname. :-)

Hello,

Well I almost had a tank emergency today :(. I came home from work, and was sitting on the couch watching a movie. Then my goby decided to jump out of a 240 gallon tank (like it’s not big enough for this tiny little fish). And he lands literally almost on my feet. I scooped him up and put him in the tank. He is normally on the sand bed, I have never seen me have a baby swim with the other fish. He always hides by the corals and is never in the water column.

Has any one else experienced this, or is it time I find away to Cover my tank?

I’m okay with being rolled in bubble wrap lol, but I don’t think I can handle the hamster excerise wheel in a room. I would officially go insane. Yes, I now have to wear a chest brace for protection. It makes work kinda uncomfortable, no it is very uncomfortable I won’t lie. But what’s worse is trying to figure out clothes over it or under it. The reason I say this to be clear lol, is because I work in a hospital, I’d rather not have it where it could get anything on it. Yet at the same time, even with clothes if this happens I throw them away or well I try and wash them on sanitatize mode which is like crazy hot. I can’t really throw that away and not sure it would be okay to wash. They don’t really have tags on them and they have plastic in them. Yes I know I’m off subject a tad, but it’s why I have not done water changes :).

Which reminds me lol, wow this trip will hurt to the Lfs. I am out of fuel, alk, calcium, and all three foods and garlic guard and the fish vitamin stuff. Eeek. It’s my fault I saw I was getting low, but didn’t react to it, now I kinda have to. I feed every day usually 5 or the frozen cubes sometimes 6, but were they mad at me lol. Sorry guys, if it makes them feel better I will skip dinner tonight also :).

Hello.

Didn’t realize, ( I normally proof read my posts and forgot on the last one but) yeah lol I’m not having a baby and umm nor have I seen my self have a baby lol. I meant to say my goby normally doesn’t swim in the water column :) I have no idea what my phone was doing (kinda takes away from the idea my phone is smart).

Also didn’t mention @Erica-Renee umm good grief pics would be nice sometime soon. You know your killing us with the suspense right. If you post pics yes I may walk in the hamster cage lol but only for like a minute then you must let me out. Yes, I’m paranoid of being trapped or small spaces lol.

@NY_Caveman how is your tank coming I tried to find your thread and it didn’t show it, is it still there? The box of reef cow? Also @Brew12 I couldn’t find yours either to follow up on it. I need to learn how to book mark or favorite some of these oh and also @Katrina71 i can’t seem to find yours either. I’m sure it’s me doing something but yeah I’m trying to follow along :).

Oh edit @NY_Caveman sorry box of rocks, that’s it lol I’m not going to talk into my phone anymore

You can always find the link in my signature. If you are on your phone, turn it landscape (sideways) to see signatures. The tank is doing very well. I had a bit of a young tank algae bloom, but added some more snails and it mostly cleared right up.

Hello,

Lol oh wow I didn’t know you could do that, neat lol there is so much to see when I do this flip thing. Even better I found your thread :) yay

And you can watch my thread stand still. :-) Fin's Reef Savvy 125 - The easiest thread you will ever follow! o_O

Honestly, you have been lucky if that is the first fish you have had jump out. I got tired of finding $60 dried fish on my carpet - or one even made it into a bucket several feet from the tank - and made mesh covers for the tank. When I had my old 200, I had a rather large Hippo Tang jump out and landed at my feet - lucky for him. Any fish can jump. If want to make sure they don't turn into fish jerky, you will want to cover the tank.

Hello,

Well after my goby decided to go carpet and hard wood floor surfing he seems to be doing fine. As he has covered all my corals on the sand bed again. I did feed today and he was with all the others in their feeding frenzy.

In addition to that it was mentioned to me to do either the Red Sea alk, Mag, and calicium dosing, but I have always used the seachem alk and calicum and it’s been fine. But I was also told to use this rpm I think liquid as well and it’s much cheaper. But I don’t have a dosing pump, and they make it so confusing in the directions. Any suggestions on which to use?

If you are happy doing what you are doing and your parameters are good now, why change anything? I always try to adhere to the old saying, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."
