Urgh seriously.

Hello,

@Rakie today for me isn’t over not off till 2000 hours 3 to go. Then I’ll definitely switch pants lol but will have pants. Too darn cold and besides if I didn’t wear pants I wouldn’t have very much laundry. You know one loves to do laundry on their days off.

You'd love it in California. We had a freezing cold 48* night the other night. I don't know how the rest of you guys deal with this "winter" stuff. We basically just have Fall, Spring, and Summer. And even summers are worse in like every other state lol.

Interesting read Sarah! I enjoyed it! :)

Hello,

Omg you read all the pages @Hemmdog I so hope I didn’t bore you to death). Never in my mind would I have thought now over 50,000 views lol and people that read along but I hope it was umm entertaining lol. I try to stay on topic of my tank but life happens. It’s fun to be able to have friends that all have tanks but can talk about normal life, vent pick your topic really.)

@Rakie lol I think my fav spot in Cali was San Fran and Monterey. It’s really neat to me, and silly expensive which I was really hoping I would get a residency there. But then wouldn’t see family etc. But even then, I don’t know if I could have even bought a home like I have here. I definitely want to go back there and see the twisty road and the golden gate and Alcatraz, etc. I remember when I was I think second year of medical school, some friends and I went. We always visit market street (think that’s it) but anyway they have all these people who play chess. It’s like five dollars to play and I have always loved chess and studied it a lot and openings and mid game plays and end game plays etc. learned all the openings closed and open aka queens gambit, Kings gambit, dragon siliician to name a few. I ended up winning all of the games and didn’t make a few of them very happy. I played I guess they are in a row and all different levels. But who really knows but he said he was the same rating as an international master. So I was what the heck it’s five dollars, maybe I can learn something new. Well first three games I actually beat him, and the last two were drawn by repeating moves. Sorry small story of my love for San Fran :). But love all the docks and all the steep hills and that it never ever closed. Boise closes at 7 pm it’s so depressing. See @Hemmdog lol I was prepaid to write on my tank forgot what I was gonna say. Oh well it will come to me.

I like it! And so relatable! I live 30 mins outside of sf! Lol. See, we’re all having fun now lol.

Hello,

My oldest brother road raced bicycles, and always had the most amazing bicycles. When I went to San Fran to help with the local aquarium for part of my thesis, he gave me one of his bikes to use. So I always avoided traffic and actually I did really well. The worst part about cycling in San Fran is forgetting there are trolly cars and tracks. I realized how hard asphalt is when I turned down this one street and the front wheel went into track (since they are tracks still not sure if they converted it). But, It was much faster than driving (hills were fun going down, not up, and you constantly had to avoid cars) purposely run you over.

Hello,

Oh the joys of double posting, but oh I was gonna mention about my tank and yeah I was gonna ask something and for love of cotton candy I can’t remember. Does one ever start out with a thought, then they get distracted, then they back track and forget why they started to backtrack, so they go and backtrack again? Then after turning in circles for 30 minutes your just have an amazing headache?

Hello,

Oh finally lol so was thinking with my newer tank if I’m running that new return pump the abyzz, if I stay sps dominant, trying to not over think this with meth, but the head pressure will change with distance. With that said of said pump does 4500 gph, there should be a flow equation that will give me the new amount in reduction do to distance . Am I thinking on the right track which is why I was thinking of using twin abyzz pumps plus the wave makers.

Edit omg sorry I meant math not thee other, I can’t believe auto correct replaced it with that instead of math.

trying to not over think this with meth, but

Sarah,

The a400 is 6000 gph, not 4500. It's head pressure is 30 feet.

The Iwaki MD-100RLT is 2135 gph, and it's head pressure is 39 feet.

The PanWorld 250PS is 1900 gph, and it's head pressure is 45 feet.

The Reeflo Tiger Shark is 8,000 gph, and it's head pressure is 55 feet.

But the Reeflo Hammerhead is 6,000 gph, and it's head pressure is 25 feet.

So the meth (lol) may be obscured slightly by testing environment, and internal pump factors as well. All, or none, of these may be dead accurate.

@Sarah24! Did EcoTech steal your cereal at one point? :) You are getting good advice about pumps for the 425, but I just have to say that I have used EcoTech MP-40s since they first came out and have had great luck with them. I still have the very first one that I bought and have only replaced the wet side once. Still running the old controller. The battery backup is nice also. Anyway, carry on with the conversation. I just wanted to say that I am an EcoTech user and have had good service out of what I have purchased. :)

Lol, just wait until you forget what you came into a different room for something. [emoji53]
Then the fastest way to fix it is to walk back into the 1st Room so it will jog your memory. Then you have to walk back into the 2nd room while you're still thinking of what you were looking for.
