What DC quite pump should I use on the 36w?

What about this guy? its around 300gph. Should I get a 500 gph?

If you want effective ICH and other larger Parisite killing, you are going to want no more then 130 GPH.
40 Watt UV has a suggested of 157. I would go no more then about 130 GPH

Thanks for the info! Any suggestions on a pump? I wanted DC do to low power and quietness. Maybe I can turn down that DC pump to low and calculate the flow.

I’m new to salt but had a successful very large koi pond , the UV canister was built into the filtration canister. To save sump room and need for another pump could you run it off of your Protien skimmer outlet. Or just make another outlet , manifold or T fitting off the return pump and use a valve to slow the flow ?

Can I run off my BRS reactor pump? Just don’t know what the power would be

You would have to figure out what the GPH is. If you run too much flow, it will not work to kill stuff.

Good call. Thanks for your help my friend. I’ll get that small pump. I’ll get the 36w UV and run it both on a timer at the same time you got it. Seems like a solid plan. I just hope that little pump is not to loud. I took pride in making my system very silent lol

I have a Pentair 40 watt and run it at 200 gph for my 100 gallon tank. It heats up my water 4-5 degrees though. According to them you need to run 240 gph or less to effectively kill parasites.

I have a small patch of Cyano. Should I give it a little shot of Chemiclean or just use the UV first?
