Vectra pumps are unreliable

I think I am with the lucky M1 crowd that doesn't seem to have any issues. Had mine for about two years. Currently using it as a return pump with my chiller, carbon, and a zeovit reactor running off of a manifold. It's taken out about every 6 months to be cleaned. I have my apex running it on a feed schedule of once a day. So it' probably sustaining 85% for about 23.5 hours a day. I like that it ramps up to speed when starting, instead of the hard start the AC motors seem to have. Hopefully I continue my luck. If not I'm going back to my tried and true mag drives.

I have 1x M1 (all good even though there is small amount of bulgding on impellor wall) 2x L1 both have failed same time using as closed loop (insides melted and so far after 6 months replacements all ok) 1x S1 that I haven’t even cleaned yet (2 months old)

So I called asking about the warranty since I only registered the warranty 8 months ago and they tried to say it was no longer under warranty . They wouldn’t answer if their system said it was under warranty . They just kept saying “ we will treat it as if it’s under warranty “. That isn’t what I wanted to know. I have proof of when I bought it even so it’s Impossible that the warranty would be up. Haven’t heard anything from them in the past 5 days. I haven’t had a backup return either so I had to rig having my in sump skimmer inside my display tank until they can figure their stuff out .

I have heard many complaints over the last calendar year and would love to try one of these but until I see more positive feedback, I cannot and will not accept pump failure
