I am under the impression that leaving the tank fishless for a period of time kills off the velvet?
Then I will remove those and put into an observation tank while I let the DT sit. Once the DT has sat long enough, I will move the fish to hospital tank to treat before putting back into display. I can catch the clowns. If I go anywhere near the magnificent anemone they attack my hand. So I should be able to use that to catch themIf any fish survives your current situation then they would be carriers unless treated. You would not be fishless at that point. It is possible for some fish to survive and be carriers, much less common then for ich.
55 tall. 30 gallon sump.If the option to transfer them is on the table then why not do it sooner rater then later? How big is your display tank?

Yes. I may get the clowns once they are distressed but I am not current set up with a hospital tank....
They were small and doing fine. I am getting a new house and doing a 220 in the new house. For now they were not big enough yet and not an issue. Besides everything was healthy. I have had the Yellow Eye Kole Tank and Yellow Tangs for almost a year until adding the Convict. If the new house and 220 was not ready when they were too big then I would trade them for smaller fish again. It takes a couple years for them to get big right? One of your issues is your tank is way too small for a convict and yellow tang. If you want to keep tangs you should think about having a tank suitable for them.

Snails and crabs do a great job. Also phosphates play a larger role in algae growth. Some damsels also pick at algae.
