Velvet outbreak! Help!

Currently Treating with Cupramine in quarantine tank using SeaChem copper test kit. What level of copper should I maintain for the 2 week period??

0.5 ppm is what you want with Cupramine. Maintain that level for 4 weeks!

Why does everyone think it's velvet and not ich?

Because of the pictures. I've seen several instances when the fish seemed to have both and that entirely possible here, but the pictures look more like velvet to me. Either way, copper treats both so he's covered for both.... especially if he follows the protocols bobby has linked to him for velvet.

Many times it's difficult to say whether a fish has ich or velvet, especially when going off just photos. But as Meredith pointed out copper treats both, so when in doubt that becomes the safest bet for treatment. If you look closely at the photo below, this PT has both ich & velvet. But who can tell the difference between which dots are ich and which are velvet? If you look at 10 o'clock from the eye you'll see a larger white dot (ich) right next to a smaller one (velvet).

Well I have been treating my fish, or what's left of them in Qt with Cupramine for 2 weeks. Since then, have lost six line wrasse, after a week of treatment, yesterday lost 1 clown, and now today lost other clownfish. Only thing left is blue spotted watchman goby. I have maintained therapeutic levels of .5ppm for 2 weeks straight using a seachem copped me test kit and also have a seachem amonia badge that has remained yellow the hole time. What am I doing wrong?

+1 Are they eating while in the copper? Any changes in behavior like chasing their own tails or swimming weird?

Maybe a lot of reefer will not agree with me, I always treated ich with low salinity to 1.009 - 1.01 with up the temperature to 28c . If you have many corals keep the temperature as normal, I treated this 2 times with no fish los, but make it gradually in 3 days for 3 weeks, then raise it again gradually also, many videos on YouTube learn you
