And I read these threads on here that their fish are reinfected because they reintroduced their fish to soon. And have to start all over agin.

Considering the issue with his side/spine from your other post, I don’t think he will live long either way unfortunately
If you have the means to set him up with his own little tank and let whatever play out... just remember that you wouldn’t be able to add him back, or even cross-contaminate between tanks... because even if he does survive the velvet/ich, without treatment he could still be a carrier.
Yeah. I think that’s what I’ll do. Poor guy.
Doesn't SeaChem say cuppramine is effective at .3? Maybe do a small water change to lower copper from .5
True to the first piece, and it depends on the second. An established fish, particularly wrasse, gobies, and other fish with thick slime coats can live for quite a while in velvet. Velvet can also sit dormant for up to 30 days after a fish has been kept in sub therapeutic copper (common throughout the distribution system)Most don't know the difference between Ich and velvet.Looking a pictures on goggle doesn't cut it.Seen same picture ID both.Usually velvet kills fish before they even start a treatment
No. 0.5. Sorry. I’ve simehow gotten 2 threads Hong on the same subject. I must have messed up the 1st of 2 needed doses to bring copper up to 0.5. First dose got me to 0.4-0.5 which is a no no. So I did a water change and brought it down to 0.2. Added aeration.
Goby no longer hanging out at top. Yay. But he’s looking depressed. Just laying st bottom. Not much appetite.

I would put him in his own tank with a low copper level to keep velvet from completely taking over and if he gets his strength up in a few days you could start raising it.
Have you tried a fresh water dip? It won’t cure anything but can help lessen the parasitic load on the fish and give the copper a chance to start working.

And yeah. Definitely 76 days in case it’s ichAmmonia ? are all fish in QT?.Leave Main tank fishless for 76days.
^great advice above
Only want to add that with gill damage a supportive med to try is a 30 minute bath in methylene blue. Does 3 things, first will increases hemoglobin, next is antiseptic so will help if there is a secondary infection, lastly has slight antiparasitic properties(wont cure it but wont hurt if this bath is done during parasite treatment).
Is also rather gentle on fish.
Use a container you dont mind ruining as it will dye it blue.
