@Wolf89, how many days did all the white spot disappear on your fishes and which ratio did you use in your treatment? I’m dosing 1ml per 2 gal and after 2 days the white dots still there but i can see couple fishes start swimming around the tank rather than swim at the sand bed

I'll be honest, all my fish besides one were dead by the time I started treatment. That little convict tang was incredible, never ever showed a sign of illness. You can find my thread about him somewhere. So the spots were never on him. I added new fish around week 3 if that helps, but longer is better always. Up the dose to 1:1 if fish deteriorate. Sorry I can't be of much help. Best of luck!!

Yeah i just increase my doSe to 1:1. My emperor angel still breath really bad and still not eating frozen. He is still eating pellet. My clown fish just little but better than yesterday but i think 1:2 ratio is bot enough for me

I may have been a bit too cavalier in saying H2O2 does "nothing", but not by much. Humblefish's H2O2 thread is for a dip to provide "temporary relief". There is no broadly accepted protocol for using peroxide in a fully-stocked DT to permanently eradicate velvet. If I am missing the authoritative consensus to abandon copper for treating velvet, let me know. Velvet is not something you have the option of treating, like ich. Velvet will wipe you out.

It is your tank. If you have a lot invested, I would do it by the book. Been there, believe me.

Every has different opinions and some had try this method and some don’t. I choose this option because this is the only one I can do and I have read ton of page about velvet or ich treatment. For this method, I know this is a new game ball for us, but it may not work for someone. Before I do this, I did research about this method and see the result from this treatment. That why I gave it a shot to try out and made an example for someone deal with velvet in the future. Nobody say h2o2 completely eradicate velvet but I buy some time for me to boost up the immune system and prevent fishes stress in the future. Please read all h2o2 threads with single comment to understand how this treatment works. And if you don’t agree with this method, just do ‘t follow this thread since I may do some update of my tank in other day that may inconvenience to see it. Just don’t say it does nothing when you have not try it before. Thanks

Hey @An ngo - any updates?
The treatment is too late for velvet. H2o2 is only useable for early stage which no white dot on fishes. The dose should not excess over 1 ml per 5 gal. If over invert like shrimp an not handle it. I lost 2 cleaner shrimp because of dosing 1ml per gal. I’ treating copper right now and you can follow on humble fish forum for further update. Just want to be clear that the h2o2 does not guarantee for treating velvet 100% on dt. Someone has successfully treat but they all treat at early stage of velvet. Here is the link on hunble fish thread
