Velvet?

Wild clowns generally are carriers if the cilia parasite and will stick with host and come into contact with others
Velvet looks like a heavy dust and take fish down quickly. Often fish with velvet will swim into the current, gasp at surface, rapid breathing and scratching themselves

Initial bath and 10 day treatment and repeat if necessary
The longer you treat, the more effective treatment will be

also captive bred clowns if that makes a difference
And you mean keep dipping them every day for 10 days 90 minutes at a time or in the tank

And how long do you think he has before it kills him I don’t know how fast I can get reef rally pro

90 minutes in a bucket (bath) then 10 day treatment in a quarantine setting

If no ruby, quick cure will work
For some, prazi pro has bought the fish time but it’s not the recommended treatment and 5 minute FW dip will give it some relief

Yes and as a level of comfort to you
Rally treats Boyh brook and velvet
Brooklynella is not a clown specific disease and can spread to other tank mates
It however is common on clownfish especially wild caught

So I do a bath at a high concentration then put them in a tank with it as well ?

Good question
Dose anywhere from 2/3 - 1 teaspoon per gallon (it is safe to overdose acriflavine).

Okay so I do that for the dip or while they are in the qt tank
This is the formula for the bath.
Follow the bottle for actual treatment

Thank you I also found copper so I have it on hand incase
I am gonna set up a qt tank now and get them moved over so dip first then qt and I can do fresh water dips throughout the qt treatment and I only need to move the effected fish correct

Can you dose copper and reef rally at the same time or is that not safe and too stressful
Not sure but I feel like what the wrasse has is ick but the clown was definitely not

No copper- this is brooklynella which mimics ich. Copper is not the treatment for brook
What separated brook from ich is the amount of slime around the face of the clowns and the hazy appearance to the skin
Formalin is the treatment of choice such as quick cure or ruby rally pro
Start with a 45 minute formalin bath or 90 minute ruby rally bath then treat in a quarantine setting
If you don’t have meds on hand…. A 5 minute FW dip will offer TEMPORARY relief
is it me or is brook VERY common with clownfish? i never had luck with clowns for some reason. maybe it was because my tank was new but a brook infection always seemed inevitable..

brook is called "clownfish disease" for a reason. Its more common and deadlier in clowns, tangs, and I think wrasses
