Very sad day for Holmes-Farleys

Sorry for your loss Randy. I lost my dog last year and it left a huge hole. My new dog Lulu is filling that hole with cuteness

I feel your pain. We just had to do the same with our 13 year old chocolate lab back in August.

We’re now back to dealing with a 4 month old puppy. It’s both heaven and hell (mostly heaven).

Had to take our 17 year old beagle (Fran) to the vet this morning for euthanasia. Long downward spiral, followed by not eating or drinking the past couple of days.

I know how many reefers also have dogs. perhaps folks can post photo's of their happy dogs to make this a cheerier day. :)

This is a picture of her (left) and another beagle we had for many years (Jake) on the right taken years ago as they sunbathed on our back patio.

I am SO sorry! I lost my Rico May 2020 and still struggle some days. He was a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever (aka, “Toller”). Best companion.

My thoughts are with you! This is Logan (another Toller) and Tucker (cairn terrier mix).♥️

I have such a soft spot for these dogs. My mother was in hospice care years ago, and they had a dog there, which I come to find out was a Toller named Ruby. That dog was awesome.

So sorry to hear... sucks so much.. They joy and unconditional love they give us, its heart breaking when they leave. I've had one die in my arms from a stroke. Had too lay on the floor with 2 others as they passed.

the rainbow prism is coming off a tank and was taken the afternoon I took our older suffering Belgian Malinois in.

:(

My deepest condolences my friend.

In an interview, Jeff Kieth said he wrote this song after having to put down his dog. He said how people kept saying "it was just a dog".. He said "I don't care if it's a dog or a cat or a f** pet rock... It was my friend and its about how it made me feel"

When I listen to this song, I remember all of the happy memories of the pets I have loved and lost. I know that nothing can really ease the pain, but know that you are not alone.

Sorry for your loss.

So sorry for your loss.

We had to put our loved Gunner down in 2018. I still miss that dog.

I thought for sure I was done with dogs after having to put him down but the worst of the pain did subside after a few months and we now have our 5 year old pup (no pics of him on the computer right now).

Sorry to hear this Randy. That’s never an easy situation. But I’m sure it was a great 17 years. Here’s a couple pics of my pups.

Sorry about your loss Randy. Been there twice with two other dogs before. Still miss them to this day. Every time it gets harder. Took a few year's to replace those other two with a new one.

I have had to do this a number of times. A very painful thing to have to do.

Sorry for your loss @Randy Holmes-Farley
I've lost 5 Dogs over my life, its so tough. Here is a pic of Gus as a puppy. He's a great friend and always cheers me up . Hope he brings a little cheer to you as well. Gus is a Phantom Standard Poodle, he weighs in around 90 solid muscle pounds these days.
