It came with one beaker, but everyone says that is the same as the Red Sea kit. So if you had some of their kits you'd have extra beakers. It came with 3 stirrers too, which as we mentioned above could be soaked clean in RO water for reuse without concern.
Thank you

THX for all the Inspiration i get here! Now i Have to Start a New Projekt inkl. a magnetic Stirrer

The stirs come in all sizes. I have all the sizes of them. I started using them years ago after fixing a stirrer that our lab had thrown away for not working.

wow! good stuff on finding a link! That looks almost identical to the one Marc has.
I just ordered one, but needed to go to a different site. The link wouldn't let me complete my order info for some reason. I reached out by email and tried calling but nothing.
I eneded up going through reefnation to order. Around $60 with shipping. Prob couldve been a $10 DIY but who has time!

I was about to order one off that website(reefnation) and then noticed it's an unsecured page wanting to link into Paypal. Uhhh, no thanks :)
I might try the other one off of Amazon. It has a ton of 5 star reviews.

That is why I was suggesting to make adapter sleeves to securely hold a variety of known brand test vials to eliminate the need to worry about pouring test solutions back and forth and reducing the risk of a vial getting knocked over. The 3d printed version that @melev was originally referencing would be the best candidate for this; especially if he can get with the guy printing these and modify the design of the stir plate to accommodate bushings for various tests kits. There are numerous product on the market that can accomplish the same goal, but I would personally buy one that is made to work with my redsea test kits, etc- rather than fumbling with other vials and extra steps/precautions that would make the test more difficult to complete than without the stir plate.

The Magnetic stirrer that @melev received, is that just a prototype ? I can't seem to find where to buy it, I saw a similar one that someone posted earlier but I wanted the one that had a light . Any word on production ?

Ruh roh! Is that bad? I paid using my Amex so if there's any funny business they are pretty great at refunds etc.
The guy running the site has an active Facebook and Instagram account and seems pretty legit.
I guess we shall see ....I haven't received a tracking number or email saying when I could expect it....just an order number and my PayPal receipt.
I'll keep ya posted on the out come.

In the meantime I can't seem to bring myself to do any tests now untill it arrives. Twirling by hand is for suckas! Lol
Just kidding ....I know it's a dumb waste of money gizmo but I'm hoping it sparks an interest in getting me to test way more frequently and a larger variety of tests and not just Alk

Oh nothing on the guy running the site as he seems like a cool guy, it's just that on an unsecured connection, your information could be laid bare to someone that infects the site with a data sniffer. After so many data breaches at unsecured sites over the last couple of years, it's almost a taboo to not have secure encryption on your business page.

krebsonsecurity.com if you want a frequently interesting blog on cyber and retailer crime.

You must not have listened to the whole video. Yes, it's something brand new and I'm trying to get information about how we can get it here in the U.S. as well as any pricing. Please be patient.

I ordered one of the ones from SR Aquaristik. Will see how it works.

my mistake , I don't have speakers on one of my work desk. Just saw the super cool gadget that will save time and have a more consistent outcome/result. Will do , Thanks for the update

Ok, my $30 one off of Amazon arrived the other day and I've been playing around with it a little. It has one speed setting and a light. I had to purchase a packet of different sized stirring capsules to fit my various test kit vials. So far, I've really liked that I can just pour stuff in while it mixes and walk away and do other stuff on kits where they have to 'shake' for a minute or two. It's also very handy on the titration kits like Red Sea Calc/Mag where you can slowly put the drops in and it's stirring the whole while for you. All-in-all, it seems to be an OK gadget for the price. I don't know that I could justify spending like 70-100 like some of the others that have speed adjustments and stuff, but I suppose I could see it if you're testing all the time or have multiple tanks or something. Could also be a great time saver for an LFS doing a lot of 'walk-in' testing for customers.
