It is, they both feed different bacteria but I'd 1/2 the vodka or stop for a while.

You need to calculate how many gallons you have, how many ppm you want, then that tells how much you add twice daily directly to the tank as a powder.

I was sent calcium ascorbate by mistake. Contacted the store I got it from and they sent me sodium ascorbate free of charge. So I dose 1/4 tsp of calcium ascorbate at 7 am and same amount of sodium ascorbate at 7 pm. Lights are on from 1 pm to 1 am. Just started this on Monday. Total system is around 40 gallons, working on plumbing in a ten gallon frag tank.

Dosed my first 1/4tsp and my tank got a little cloudy. I did premix it with a little SW but I don't think it would matter considering how small the dose was. Also my pH is 7.8 is that an ok range for dosing the VC? Total tank volume roughly 40G.

Huh I wonder why mine did that then. After mixing it in a cup I added it to the return section of my sump. How about my pH level? Its sitting at 7.8. Id hate to keep dosing and have that crash on me.
