Vodka Dosing perfected?

I based my total water volume at 200g figuring reef displacement and sump water volume. My maintenance dose of 30ml seems to be working fine.

Randy. Question for you. I dose vinegar like you. I started a few months ago and am up to about 40 ml per day for a 120g system. I started seeing some white slime in my sump. I'm assuming this is the bacterial bloom often caused by vinegar?

Same here . My next question Randy are you still using the vinegar in conjunction with Kalk ?

Yes, I give the MB7 bottle a quick squeeze twice a day at the same time I dose the vodka.

Likely yes. The bacteria with all these methods must grow somewhere. The sump is s fine place, IMO.

I am still ramping up on vodka, at 15ml now. I have a 360 gal display plus sump minus rock. By the sounds of others I should find my nitrates to drop when I hit around 30ml. question is can I get there any faster? I have just started to increase 1ml per week from the .5 Any help would be welcomed.

I am currently combining them both from my ATO according to the article I read in addition to a Ca Reactor. What is the reason you are no longer doing the same Sir ?

im at 12 ml already... im gonna jump to 15 this weekend
nitrates down to about 25, phosphates down to about .25 running gfo too.

If the Nirates are down, why are you going up with the dose?

nitrates went down because i did 3 changes of 35 gals each once i did that it stood at 25... now im trying to get the dose good where its lowering on its own.
