Wanting to get my first anemone.

I like the long tentacle they tend to stay to the bottom and wedge themselves in. In my opinion I think there are more durable and easier to keep. But I’ve had the most success with pairing it with a clown. I have two, one for each clown. My Spot didn’t let my Percula in, so I got him one. It’s the blue long tentacle.

How’d you get the clowns to host the nem

Start off a nem in a low flow area, it's easier to increase flow at the nem if need be then have the nem walk to a low flow area and sting the crap out of everything on it's way.

Had a hatian new and he wouldn’t stay still got rid of him. Now I have a long tentacle new and he’s been good. Has moved but only a few inches

Yes mine moves kinda side to side with the lights, but like you said once they find a spot they dont really move to far.

I have also used little fish bowls so they dont blow away.

The clown fish in my lta just went in natural after a few days. It just happens ime

How’d you get the clowns to host the nem

Luck, my spot went in before the anemone even hit the bottom. My Percula took a little time, mostly because my big female would run him off. Thou I notice a couple days later he would sneak in under the anemone out of sight! lol So I got a second and it only took a day.

Similar experience to Oscar, I have occys in a bubbletip, clarkies in a carpet, and red saddles in a long tentacle. Never had pairing issues, the fish swam over and just found their home. The quickest pairing was auctually the clarkies with the carpet, surprisingly I added the fish after the nem was established and they swam right in and made themselves at home in seconds.
