Water Change Schedule

I am a 29 gallon tank with a 20 gallon sump and I do a 2.5 gallon water change every week.

I usually change about 10% each week. I'm sure I could prolong this if I wanted to, but I don't mind the work. The tank has been set up for almost 9 years now and it shows no signs of slowing down. :)

About 15% a week in display- 200 gallon
50% a week in 10 gal hospital
15 Gallons a week in 5 gallon quarrantine

I feed heavy for the corals and do a 10% water change weekly on a 80 gallon water volume. That equals to 8 gallons a week

How many gallons is your tank?

There are many things involved with their water change are you running a calcium reactor doseing pump etc

I am transitioning. I did it as nitrates got high. Sometimes it was once a month, sometimes it was every 2-3 months. I am finding my corals happier when I do about 5 gallons a week in a 40 gallon system.

Recently I've been slacking so I've Been doing once every three weeks 4-5 gallons on my 30 gal long. I was doing once a week 3 gallons.

15 to 20 gallons on a system that holds 140 gallons. I alternate between once a week then 2 weeks then one week and so on... 15 gallons on the one week change and 20 on the 2 week change.
