Water chemisrty for soft corals

What type of parameters do you need to have soft corals?

softies really aren't picky just have some nutrients in there they're a really resilient coral and can handle pretty much w/e you throw at them

You will need to have a stable tank and maintain low NH3 and NO2. Some softies will require other elements that mostly would come from water changes.

Temp range from 75-82. NO3 should be kept below 20 ppm and PO4 needs to be kept down as well. Other than those there should be no special requirements other than be sure to have enough lighting.

Yes my tank is cycled its bin up for about a year. Now all i have is fowlr im finally ready to try coral.

Thats good. Softies need the general "reef" water parameters and should do great. Figure doing a water change weekly or biweekly and theyll be fine. Make sure none of the FOWLR fish are nippers.

Hey look who signed up! Haha, only fish he has in his tank are two clownfish, don't think he should have a problem. You need something for your tank Arod, 2 small fish in a 55g. Something wrong with that. Haha. Where are pics of your tank?

oh yea if that's your tank it should be fine just check your salinity because usually folwr are a lot lower it should be around 35 ppt or .0124-.0126 sg

Yup thats why i got them so i wouldnt be limited. So can you help me with how long i should leave my lights.
