ONe of the members of our local club uses T-5 only for SPS dominant tank and is currently running lights for 6 hours a day. Normally he ran them longer but with electricity costs up he has cut back. Affects little except slowed his growth slightly.
And Ocean, I DID tell him to be sure he had adequate lighting in my post.
4 x 54W t-5 on a 55G tank should give you excellent color and growth.
