Build is looking good. I have a small waterbox 35.1 (22gallon with 10 gallon sump). I really like it, it’s been cycling for two months. I also have an apex for it and really like that cabinet you got. Did you drill holes for chords or were they already There? Do you have a link or name of this cabinet. I live close to an IKEA also but finding a specific cabinet without the id number is almost impossible In that place.
I most have been posting the same time you were. The model is described in a post just prior to yours. I had to the drill the holes since it is really a bathroom wall cabinet. Also, I added a small fan as I noticed it was getting quite warm with all of the equipment.

)) I used marco cement to make flat frag holders to cover the bottom of the tank by pouring the cement on a flat surface on plastic and putting frag plugs in. You have to take the frag plugs off before they harden. THe plastic easily comes off later. They are great because you don't have the shiny bottom appearance. If you are going to go barebottom I would say go very high intermittent flow, set up an auto water change, and age your dry rock a few months before adding any LPS OR SPS. I do AWC at 2 gallons a day and it has made a big difference. I use a lot of bioballs in my sump as well. I am trying the ice cap algae scrubber so I can stop buying GFO. Make sure you seen your tank with some Microbacter 7 or equivalents. I have had no issues with algae, diatoms.... I get aptasia outbursts every now and then, but who doesn't?? Also, you may get bigger alkalinity swings going barebottom so test often. After 6 months it really stabilizes (especially with AWC).
