Well I think we should all come together and name the 'Japanese' deep water zoos.
I picked up these today and not sure if they have a name or not? Not many really have a name besides the Fruit Loops I believe?

i have some new deep water zoos also, just got em. they were growing on the under side of my new favia. i will post a pic when they are fully open

I don't think that they should be named, because if they are named, people will start charging more per polyp.

Dragon Eyes have a name and they are less than $1 per polyp.
It's just a good reference to give them names I meen these deepwaters are becoming pretty common.
It's the not so common stuff that will be more expensive.

I have some sweet deepwaters Ive never seen before. They grew from a rockk that had a diff. zoa on them. They have a green skirt with orange the mouth is purple and between the purple and orange theres a green ring. Would take pics but my camera sucks lol.

I wish they wouldn't call them Deep water Japanese zoanthids....The only part of what they get called is zoanthids. A LFS here has got some sweet ones in $25 a frag purple with yellow ring and yellow skirts, will pick some up this week maybe.

Me personally, a DWZ is a DWZ.... but name it all you want, we already have fruitloops, LaLakers, emerald ???? something etc etc. I just hope it's named for ID purposes and folks out there don't use it to make the price higher.

Well that's not my intentions. I am wanting to name them because some of them are just so good looking and so to speak deserve names for ID. Why only name a few and not the rest? There aren't a whole lot of varieties of them at the moment.

I forgot to mention, we already have a bunch named so it wouldn't hurt naming the others, I know it's not the intention here but I'm looking at others in the hobby not folks here. Hopefully we can put some realistic names that properly ID em?? not some crazy name that doesn't fit the look ??

YES! Something somewhat easy and not crazy to remember.
I think you would be a good asset to helping us with this, I know you are on Coralpedia a-lot ;)

so, where is the proof that any of these come from japan or that they are even in deep water?

scam.

Notice the quotes above Japanese in my first statement?

This is not the place to start a debate. Please start a new thread to inquire with others about your opinion.

You can start up a voting thread for each specific DWZ, then when all agree on a new name we can have it approved on CoralVault and CoralPedia to make it official amd known to all.
