We should name deepwaters.

I've been calling these "Raspberries". The closest match on zoaid, but obviously not the same lineage. I actually think they should be called something else, because they look nothing like a raspberry.

Go for it. I would love for people to stop calling these things JDW.

+1.

I'm good with giving them names, can we please just not name any of them something hornets?!

Yeah seriously. Anyone calling these [Color] Hornets obviously are just trying to make money off of the Hornet craze.

luisse, those are some of the nicest polyps i have seen. too bad they're not for sale I'd pay a boat load for 'em.

here is some of my DW's they are so bright in my tank that are almost as bright yellow as my purple hornets.

if there is a zoa that should be names after La Lakers, it is these.

Here are mine. I asked in this forum and got those names.
I don't know the names are right or not.
But I do like they have proper names.

So taking count here, mine and fashionophile's are similar, and luisse's 5th pic are all not officially named. What about the lucky charms? Are they different from la lakers?

I also have a DW that looks like orange nebula, but I am waiting to see if it morphs.

Once we all agree on which are the un-named ones, we can throw up some naming polls.

I'm on the other side of the fence with this one. For once, I actually like the fact that there are some attractive ZOAs out there without a new trendy name for each color variety. No doubt I'm in the minority on this one, but do we really need another "Valentines Day Massacre" type name to identify these? It's the simplicity that's attacts me (ie. Orange Skirt JDW ZOA). Fine as is, nothing else needed. Anyway, off my podeum for the time being.

I hear ya. But they need to be called something for identification and trading. Besides, Japanese and deepwater are both misnomers that gotta go!

Can't argue that point. BTW and a bit of thread jump - get dem' frags a-growing. Out of all the purchases I made this year, you're were some of the best and you had some stiff competition. Got a new frag tank that is looking entirely too empty.

I just picked up these deepwater Zoa's from Tomasz at Paradice corals this weekend when i was at his place.
