Weird white particles covering everything on uncycled tank

Yesterday I just added some Caribsea live sand and some of the water clarifier that came with it. Later that day, it looked like the rock and sand had a thin layer of tiny white dippin dots covering it. Is this all of the sediment that collected from the water clarifier?

It’s live sand. Why would I rinse it

Prolly the clarifier. Those are usually flocculants and will settle

Yes, even at partial dosages

This is interesting because it didn't do this when I did my tank but I did run the pump system for a cpl days during & after adding the sand & clarifier.

You don't have to add the recommended m/l as when you started tank up with bacteria. Just a partial m/l is ok to keep tank in check

This will contain the bacteria you need, while it won't hurt to add additional bacteria, I would follow Dr. Tim's recipe.

It's from the clarifier binding with the dust. I just wiped it off hard surfaces and siphon out what's left on the sand bed. I didn't rinse the sand I added to my tank a few days ago. Added 60 lbs of Caribsea Fiji Pink live and another 80 lbs of Tropic Eden dry reef flakes on Thursday.

Your bedding needs to afford oxygen/nitrogen exchange which is why I mentioned light siphoning. Just enough to break up the layer
