Well, hello one and all!

Aren’t they just!
My next fish will most likely be an Australian harlequin tusk. I've got 2 fish in a different QT about 3 weeks away from being ready then it'll be time to get him ordered. I also want a couple more tangs but the PBT is pretty aggressive. This is why I am getting the acclimation box.

Do you plan on setting up a QT for all of your fish before putting into the DT? I would highly recommend it.

I do, yes - when I eventually get around to getting near the point of having livestock!
Do you have your quarantine tank running full time? Do you just fill it with water from the tank just prior to purchase? How long does your quarantine period last?

I have 2 QT tanks running at the moment. 1 I leave running full time and the other I filled up a couple days before fish arrived and used Dr. Tims.
I use copper power with Hanna checker and run copper for 21 days, then run two rounds of Prazi. Add another week or two with out any meds as an observation period then transfer to DT. I've had a couple fish quit eating one day and die the next so will be running kanaplex along with copper on future fish. A lot of people are having this issue with bacterial infections.

This is my full time QT-20 gallon

Thank you for the detailed response - the whole quarantine regime will be something I have to look a lot more closely at obviously! Luckily I have PLENTY of time to do just that!;Bookworm
