Went through all that effort for nothing ......

B) I am asking for opinions from experienced reefers not trolls like yourself

There will be a lot of people actively ignoring your posts if that's how you act. This isn't Reddit. This is a community of people who care. Don't get it twisted.

Posts get buried quickly here. It's your job to bump them up if you haven't gotten your answer. Notice how your poll has responses now?

Regarding disease I say keep up what you are doing and work with tools as best you can. I honestly wasn't expecting even that much effort only because the bulk of new posters just buy and add fish that are available, you're really trying to work something into the equation I'm 100% sure some form of observation period away from the main tank is prudent.

also agreed that sometimes fish die in these pre holdings, but more die just being put directly into new tanks without any form of stopgap. nice efforts

I dont work with fish disease to be able to recommend specifics, but we sure do turn out lots of cycled reef tanks here and follow up with them/lead them to read posts in the fish disease forum here and they're using the key terms you're using that's for sure.

any thoughts on just observing a fish in QT for 30 days ? if it shows ich or velvet then copper treat but if nothing shows in 30 days it should be disease free correct ?
That's a pile of it topic all of its own. There are a lot of passionate arguments on each side.

I implement the current disease quarantine protocol sticky by Jay hemdal in the diseases area. I prophylactically treat everything coming in.

Yea I would but sometimes things come in on snails and stuff so I just roll the dice. I get my livestock from the same Lfs that I trust. It’s not the safe route but I’ve noticed the fish adapt at the store and when they come into my tank, it’s nothing new to them or unmanageable.

I think we need a sticky thread with tank sizes and stocky suggestions on it.
Fish stock is one of the most personal aspects of this hobby, ask 10 folks and you get 10 different replies.
Tank size suggestions would be the same.
I've seen folks with sailfish tangs in 30 gallons and I don't even bat an eye anymore.
Hopefully the hobbyist does a little research on at least size, temperament, reef compatibility and fish and invert compatibility.
I really don't say much when it comes to how folks stock their tanks because as an ignorant noob I once bought a panther grouper, cutest little bugger with a huge appetite who grew like magic overnight... then he ate my fish.
But that was pre internet days lol
That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

Hahah yea I hear you it’s a personal approach and would be strictly optioned based. But there is a tang tank size sticky thread. And a wrasse compatibility thread. It doesn’t seem like too far of stretch, just organizing and constructing one does for me at least

I agree, there is a lot of information here from alot of experienced reefers to pool from. It definitely is wise to pick the brains and experience of folks here to help avoid pitfalls that have previously been solved by their years of experience
